Monin dropped by our office today to enlighten us and our customers about new seasonal recipes and offerings. They offer over 140 products including syrups (premium, organic, sugar-free), concentrates, sauces, purees, and smoothie mixes that are perfect for cafe’s quick service restaurants, and bars. It was a fruity and flavorful seminar, and we can’t wait for our customers to experiment with these new recipes at their store.
Karat got off to a great start in 2015 with many new additions to our production area, including a new PP machine, 6 color printers, and now the highly anticipated PET lid machine that will be finished installing at the end of this month.
Our Chino, CA facility is working hard this year to increase our production capabilities, so our customers can feel confident in knowing that their products are made in the U.S. with quality materials and prompt delivery times.

Today we held another exciting vendor open house! Cappuccine, the original frappe mix creator held a demonstration and Q&A panel. Cappuccine is the pioneer of the all-in-one original powdered frappe mix that was created nearly 24 years ago. Lollicup USA is please to announce that it will be hosting Vendor Open House Seminars at our corporate office in Chino. These seminars are FREE training sessions with some of our top vendors that will include different ways to use products as well as recipe information. After a year of research and development, Lollicup USA has begun its production of disposable plastic cups at the end of April and will be distributing its Karat® line of “made-in-USA” cups to its customers today. Paper cold cups will go into production in June.
“Manufacturing in the U.S. is gaining traction. More and more companies are bringing manufacturing back, and more and more consumers are looking for American-made products. Consumers trust the quality and are very supportive,” stated co-founder, President and CEO of Lollicup USA. “We moved manufacturing from Asia to the U.S. because we saw the increasing demand of American-made products and a trend of consumers having a preference for these products. The cost of labor in Asia has also risen significantly and there are too many uncertainties.”
The 300,300 square-foot facility houses the company’s offices, distribution, and a new state of the art production plant, which features automated high-capacity and high-speed German equipment allowing Lollicup to manufacture up to one million cups per day. Plastic pellets are mixed with recycled plastic and melted to liquid form, then rolled to a flat sheet and cut to size. No materials are wasted as any excess plastic used to form the plastic cups are reused.
Southern California Edison (SCE) joined the national celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month for its ninth annual celebration to show appreciation to its customers, business partners, and community organizations on May 2nd.
Lollicup USA was awarded an Energy Efficiency Participation Award, alongside Din Tai Fung USA, after adding a new LED lighting system to its corporate headquarter facilities, saving the company approximately $80,000 annually.

This year’s celebration, themed “Celebrating Business & Community Partnerships,” was held at SCE’s Energy Education Center in Irwindale and also highlighted SCE’s investment and contribution to higher education, particularly Asian recipients of the Edison Scholars Program. Ding-Jo H. Currie, Ph.D., professor at California State University, Fullerton, joined SCE in celebrating, serving as keynote speaker. KNBC anchor Hetty Chang was the emcee.
