Our Story

Lollicup® USA provides customers and partners with quality food and beverage products, and acts as a one-stop-shop for all businesses in the foodservice industry.

Lollicup USA was founded in 2000 when Alan Yu and Marvin Cheng opened the first Lollicup tea cafe in San Gabriel, CA, bringing Taiwanese bubble tea to the United States market. By 2006, more than 60 stores opened across six states.

To maintain consistent quality of their shops, Yu and Cheng established two brands, Tea Zone® and Karat®, in 2001 and in 2004 respectively. Tea Zone offers high-quality bubble tea and food and beverage ingredients, while Karat provides premium paper and plastic disposable goods and packaging. Many Karat brand products are manufactured domestically at Lollicup USA’s facility in Southern California.

Not long after establishing these brands, the company began providing its products and services to thousands of businesses, including many Fortune 500 restaurant franchises.

The company has also solidified strategic partnerships with top brands, and serves as a master distributor of these brands’ products. Ghirardelli®, Torani®, Monin®, Big Train®, DaVinci Gourmet® and Cappuccine® are just a few of many brands the company has partnered with.

In 2013, after many years of expanding its market presence, the company’s headquarters relocated from Industry, CA to a 300,300 sq. ft. facility in Chino, CA. This building houses a state-of-the art manufacturing plant. Lollicup USA also operates three overseas agent offices to better service international customers, and warehouses in Sumner, WA and Summerville, SC. The company will soon begin operating a warehouse in Wilmer, TX to better accommodate the southwest region of the United States.
